The Dutch 3D printer manufacturer Leapfrog has added a new 'High Speed' Creatr-line to its assortment. The new Leapfrog Creatr HS and Creatr XL 3D printers can print up to five times faster than its predecessor, the normal Creatr.
The Creatr HS has a large print volume of 14.8 liters and is capable of printing objects of up to a length of 11.8 inch (30 cm). With the Creatr HS XL it is even possible to print objects of up to 23.6 inch (60 cm) with a print volume of 43 liters. Both 3D printers of Leapfrog feature a double printhead (dual extruder) with which you can print with two types of materials or colors. Leapfrog even has a water-soluble support print material; after printing, you submerge the object in water and the supporting materials dissolve on their own.
Speed is one the biggest problems that people have with current 3D print technology. It can take hours to print even the simplest objects. The new Creatr HS can print with a speed of up to 11.8 inch/s (300 mm/s).

It's a large 3D printer, build volume 14.8 liter. Very good build quality, little noisy but very fast. I've managed to print in very good quality at more than 300mm/s and this without any trouble. Because it's a larger machine with dual extrusion, it's not direct for a beginner to handle. Calibrating the heated bed height is very important with this printer.
